Asymptomatic coronavirus patients will leave self-isolation after 12 days without conducting a repeat coronavirus test, said Deputy Health Minister Tamar Gabunia.
As for coronavirus infected patients with symptoms, they will not necessarily be released from conducting a second coronavirus test, and instead a doctor will decide whether they need to be tested or not.
Meanwhile, Gabunia noted that it takes 10 days following the first coronavirus test for symptomatic patients to recover and an additional three days without symptoms to declare that the patient is free of the virus.

Meanwhile, 270 individuals recovered in Georgia within the last 24 hours. The total number of recoveries has reached 2,324.
In total 33 people have died of the virus in the country, 5637 people are in quarantine, 836 are under hospital supervision, and 41 citizens of Georgia have been transported home from abroad for treatment. The number of people staying at COVID hotels amounts to 800.
Since February 26, 2020 Georgia has had 5,866 cases of the coronavirus.
Additional nine individuals have been placed under quarantine for the violation of self-isolation rules to prevent the further spread of Covid-19 virus, the Georgian Interior Ministry reported earlier today. The violations were discovered through the joint monitoring of Georgia’s National Disease Control Centre and the patrol police.
All foreigners entering Georgia, including from Germany, France, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia – countries to which Georgia has opened its borders unconditionally – will be required to present PCR test results from the proceeding 72 hours to enter Georgia or undergo PCR testing at their own expense in a laboratory located at the airport.
Individuals entering Georgia will have to spend eight days instead of 12 in quarantine in Georgia, said Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia today.
Individuals will have to spend 12 days instead of 14 in quarantine or self isolation in Georgia, according to a new decree which comes into play starting August 12.
One more individual has died in Georgia today from coronavirus complications, increasing the death toll to 34.
Both individuals had underlying diseases; the 82-year old woman had severe respiratory failure with bilateral pneumonia, ischemic heart disease and diabetes, while the 79-year-old man had chronic heart failure, acute renal failure, acute heart failure, bilateral pneumonia and acute respiratory failure.
Georgia has reported 326 new cases of coronavirus and one death in the past 24 hours. Georgia has had 6,192 cases of the coronavirus since February 26, 2020. Since then 3,120 patients have recovered, while 27 others have died.
