Additional nine individuals have been placed under quarantine for the violation of self-isolation rules to prevent the further spread of Covid-19 virus, the Georgian Interior Ministry reported earlier today.

Three individuals in Kutaisi, Batumi and Marneuli have been placed under quarantine for violating self-isolation rules.
The violations were discovered through the joint monitoring of Georgia’s National Disease Control Centre (NCDC) and the patrol police.

The Georgian patrol police and NCDC were instructed earlier this week to closely monitor people in self-isolation.
As of now Georgia has 25 confirmed cases of Covid-19, with 245 placed under quarantine [as they traveled abroad or had contact with infected individuals] and 58 others at hospitals due to suspicious symptoms.
Most of the confirmed cases, 23, are connected with Italy, while the remaining two with Iran.
