The Georgian Interior Ministry has registered 46 cases of violations of the state of emergency during the last 24 hours throughout Georgia.
21 individuals have been fined for a public gathering of more than 10 people.
Two legal entities and four individuals have been fined for violating restrictions in the sphere of business activities.
Police have also recorded 13 cases of violating self-isolation rules while six individuals have been fined for transporting passengers by minibus.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) would like to remind citizens that failure to comply with the state of emergency results in: administrative liability - a fine of 3,000 GEL for individuals and 15,000 GEL for legal entities; repeat offences will result in criminal liability, namely, imprisonment for a term of up to three years”, reports the press office of MIA.
Georgia has declared a nationwide curfew which will begin today, and will be in force from 21:00 – 06:00 until April 21.
Moreover, all public transport, including the metro, will be suspended.
Only people needed at strategically important locations may be transported in groups in an organised manner.
All individuals must carry ID documents with them when outside the home.
