Police report 421 new violations of state of emergency regulations

The Georgian Interior Ministry has registered 421 new violations of the state of emergency regulations and curfew during the last 24 hours throughout the country.

In particular Police have fined:

  • 72 individuals for public gathering;
  • 180 individuals for violating the curfew regulations;
  • 1 individual for violating rules of business activities;
  • 163 individuals for violating rules of transportation and driving;
  • 5 individuals for violating rules of quarantine and self-isolation.

The Interior Ministry calls on everyone to follow the regulations of the state of emergency, otherwise individuals will face a fine of 3,000 GEL, while legal entities will face a fine of 15,000 GEL; repeat offence is punishable by three years in prison.

A day earlier police also fined 491 people for violating the state of emergency:

As of now, Georgia has confirmed 157 cases of coronavirus. There are 126 individuals in the country who are infected with the virus out of the total confirmed cases, including 28 recoveries and one death
