Twelve employees of Batumi public school No. 5 have tested positive for the coronavirus in Georgia’s Black Sea city of Batumi.
Deputy director of the school, Giuli Telia told Batumelebi that out of the newly infected school employees, one is undergoing treatment at home, while the other 11 patients have been already transferred to different hospitals in Batumi.
Telia also said that none of the newly infected employees visited the school in the past days, as all schools and universities were switched to remote studies in the Adjara region due to increased cases of the virus.
Georgia has reported 227 new cases of coronavirus earlier today, out of which 165 were recorded in the Adjara region.
