The Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs has uncovered an online drug trafficking scheme and detained three drug dealers who are the citizens of Russia, announces the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The detainees were a group of organised drug dealers who came toGeorgia to sell drugs. They were packaging the drugs in small packs, hiding them at different addresses in Tbilisi, taking photos of the drugs and posting them on the internet to sell them”, says the ministry.
The crime is punishable by eight to 20 years in prison or life imprisonment.
Police have seized hashish, a substance containing buprenorphine, MDM and norfentanyl from the homes of the detainees.
So far this year 477 people have been detained for drug crimes, says the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
