Law enforcers detain three drug dealers

Georgian law enforcers have detained three people and prevented a drug deal taking place.

A Russian citizen was arrested for illegal purchase and distribution of drugs.

Investigation established that the accused arrived in Georgia for the sale of narcotics. The detainee took photos of the drug substances and sent them to organizers for further sale.

As a result of search operations 15 packages of 122,96 g of psychoactive substance were seized.

The detainee faces five to 14 years in jail.

The Georgian law enforcers also arrested one at Tbilisi International Airport who arrived from Turkey and tried to bring 265 pills of subutex in Georgia.

The detainee faces 20 years or life sentence.

Another person was also arrested at Tbilisi bypass road as 392 pills of subutex were seized from his car.

The drug substances seized by police officers from January 1 to May 13 include:

  • 13,5 kg Heroine
  • 1,800 pills of Subutex and Suboxone
  • More than 2,500 pills of ‘Ecstasy’
  • 6,5 kg new psychoactive substance
  • 1,4 kg Cocaine
  • 400 g psychotropic medications.

Georgian law enforcers have officially accused 60 drug dealers in the same period in total.
