Police have detained nine drug dealers in the Ponichala district in Tbilisi.
In accordance with the court decision, law enforcers managed to purchase drugs covertly from the detainees, which were depicted through audio and video recordings. As a result of search activities held in detainees’ apartments and personal searches, police seized 94 packages of heroin, methadone and about 16,000 GEL in cash", reads the press-release published by the ministry.
If convicted, the detainees face eight to 20 years of imprisonment or life imprisonment.
