Georgia received $110 million from abroad in January 2018, while remittances leaving Georgia totalled $15 million, says the National Bank of Georgia.
Last month Georgia received 31.1 percent more in remittances than in January of 2017.
Russia ($30.9 million), Italy ($13.7 million) and Greece ($12.4 million) were the largest remittance senders in January 2018.
Overall, the vast majority (90.4 percent) of all money transfers from abroad came from 12 countries.
