Russia, Greece, Italy largest remittance senders in October 2017

Georgia received $123 million from abroad in October 2017, while remittances leaving Georgia totalled $18.5 million, says the National Bank of Georgia.
Last month Georgia received 20 percent more in remittances than in October of 2016.
Russia ($39.3 million), Greece ($13.2 million) and Italy ($12.7 million) were the largest remittance senders in October 2017.
Overall, the vast majority (92.9 percent) of all money transfers from abroad came from 14 countries.
After Russia, Greece and Italy, other countries regularly sending money transfers to Georgia in October 2017 included:
- United States – $12.3 million
- Israel - $11 million
- Turkey - $10.1 million
- Germany – $3.2 million
- Spain - $3 million
- Ukraine - $2.4 million
- United Kingdom - $1.5 million
- France - $1.4 million
- Azerbaijan - $1.3 million
- Kazakhstan -$1.2 million
- Canada - $1.1 million

Russia, Italy and Greece are the largest remittance senders in March 2018, says the National Bank of Georgia (NBG). Last month Georgia received $38.1 million in remittances from Russia, $15.5 million from Italy and $13.7 million from Greece.
