Georgia received $144.2 million from abroad in July 2018, while remittances leaving Georgia totalled $ 18.9 million, says the National Bank of Georgia.
Last month Georgia received 19.3 percent more in remittances than in July of 2017.
Russia ($43 million), Italy ($16.3 million) and Greece ($15 million) were the largest remittance senders in July 2018.
Overall, the vast majority (92.8 percent) of all money transfers from abroad came from 16 countries.
