Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze met with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo today in Washington D.C.
Bakhtadze and Pompeo discussed the possibility of signing a free trade agreement between the US and Georgia.
“Mike Pompeo is a faithful friend of Georgia. I am grateful to him and his team for their support to our country. We discussed the challenge...of Russian occupation. We also spoke about the fields in which we could deepen our bilateral relations - security and economy. We would like to sign a free trade agreement with the US and we are supported by our US allies in this very important endeavor,” PM Bakhtadze told journalists after the meeting with Pompeo.
