The United States will allocate $0.5 million to Georgia to boost the strategic communications capabilities of the country, announces the Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze.

Bakhtadze stated today that Georgia is challenged by the aggressive propaganda masterminded by hostile forces and the US had allocated funding to address these very challenges.

We have developed a very significant action plan together with our strategic partner. It was for this very challenge that US State Department has allocated half a million USD. It is aimed at boosting strategic communications. It is a unique project, which reaffirms the solid support of US government towards western integration of Georgia”, Bakhtadze stated.

Bakhtade announced that this funding will be channelled to the Information Centre on NATO and EU, which should ensure the nation-wide public awareness on the benefits expected from European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Georgia and its citizens.
