Offering help to Ukraine was one of the main topics discussed at today’s Governmental meeting in Tbilisi.

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili assigned his Government to help Ukraine as much as possible.

"It would be great if we would send humanitarian aid to our Ukrainian friends. Help and support them as much as possible,” the Prime Minister said.

Georgia’s Health Minister David Sergeenko is gearing up to travel to Ukraine tomorrow to discuss how Georgia can offer support to the troubled nation.

"All this time we have been in constant communication and offered support to the [current and former] Ukrainian Health Minister. At this stage it was decided several of our specialists would travel [to Ukraine] and determine what action needs to be taken once we consult on the situation,” he said before entering today’s Government meeting.

"I decided to go there personally and the head of one of the departments will travel with me. We are leaving tomorrow morning and already have meetings scheduled for tomorrow,” the Minister noted.

Meanwhile representatives of the Ukrainian Finance Ministry’s Tax Office and Investigative Department will visit Georgia over the next four days and share Georgian experience in this field.
