Georgia has offered its troubled neighbour significant humanitarian support, valued at more than one million GEL.
Minister of Health David Sergeenko announced Georgia would send various medicines and other vital humanitarian aid to Ukraine today.
"All procedures of sending humanitarian aid to Ukraine are complete. After [today’s Governmental] meeting I will know the exact hour when the airplane with the aid will depart Georgia for Ukraine,” he said.
Sergeenko noted that the aid consisted of medications for treating diabetes, vaccines for children and essential first aid equipment. There total cost of the support package exceeded one million GEL, he said.
