Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili and a visiting Danish parliamentary delegation on Tuesday discussed development of cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats between the countries.
Darchiashvili welcomed the visit of Lise Bech, the Chair of the Danish Parliament’s Foreign Relations Committee, and other members of the delegation, calling it a “clear expression” of Denmark's support for the country, the Georgian foreign office said.
The FM introduced to the visiting parliamentarians the efforts and progress made by Georgia on the path of European integration, with the Danish legislators in turn confirming their “unwavering support” for the country's foreign policy priorities.
“The visit of our Danish friends is yet another vivid demonstration of their unwavering support for Georgia”, the Minister noted, adding he had focused in the discussions on his Government’s commitment to further progressing on the EU accession path.
