Josep Borrell, the European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, on Monday encouraged the Georgian Government to continue working on its European integration path.
In his remarks, Borrell noted the Georgia Government was doing “well” in its work to meet conditions for EU integration. He also highlighted the “strong support” of the country’s public for the objective.
The comment comes as Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Monday left for his first official visit in the capacity to Brussels.
Within the framework of the visit, Kobakhidze will hold meetings with officials of European Union bodies and NATO, while the eighth meeting of the Association Council between the EU and Georgia will be hosted on Tuesday.
The meeting will be chaired by Borrell, with Kobakhidze leading the Georgian delegation.
