Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili and his Maltese counterpart Ian Borg, who is also the Chair-in-Office of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe for 2024, on Saturday discussed bilateral and multilateral relations between the two countries.
At the meeting, held on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, the sides reviewed the situation in Georgia’s occupied regions of Abkhazia and Tskhinvali (South Ossetia), with Darchaishvili thanking his colleague for keeping the issue of Georgia “on the high-level agenda” of the OSCE.

Malta’s priorities and existing challenges within the framework of the OSCE chairmanship were also discussed by the officials, the Foreign Ministry said.
The conversation touched on Georgia’s European integration agenda, with the Maltese side affirming its “firm support” for the country’s foreign policy aspirations.
