The bilateral cooperation between Georgia and Albania, as well as the importance of intensifying political dialogue and exchanging high-level visits, was reviewed on Saturday in a meeting between Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili and his Albanian counterpart Igli Hasani.
At the meeting held on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, the officials highlighted the fruitful cooperation between the two countries within the framework of international organisations and emphasised the need to deepen relations in economy and tourism.

The progress achieved by Georgia on its European integration path, including obtaining the European Union membership candidate status in December 2023, was also pointed out by the sides, with them emphasising the importance of deepening cooperation on the way to joining the EU.
Georgian FM thanked his counterpart for supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia.
