The Spanish football club Levante UD on Wednesday said it was announcing the ID Talent project in Georgia, aiming to look for future talents and give young football players a unique chance to prove their abilities.
With the support of the Georgian Football Federation, the Levante club representatives and Xavi Hernández, the Spanish football manager and former player, will visit the capital city of Tbilisi on August 19 and 20 to select young talented football players born between 2006-2011, the Levante UD said.
It added this initiative aimed to give young players an opportunity to get their first high-level sports experience in professional football.
Giorgi Kochorashvili, a central midfielder for Spanish club Levante UD and the Georgian national team, also responded to this initiative on his social media, saying It was very important that young Georgian football players “will have a chance to see and experience everything that helped me to attain my goals”.
The central midfielder also added that after the training camps, 10 players would be selected to participate in Levante’s PLAYER EXPERIENCE project and spend two weeks in the club’s academy to acquire more sports experience.
