The Freestyle Ski, Snowboard and Freeski World Championships closed in Georgia’s ski resort of Bakuriani on Saturday with Tess Ledeux of France and the Troy Podmilsak of the United States earning the final gold medals in the big air showcase.

The International Ski Federation celebrated the event as a “triumphant freeski big air finals”, while also marking the overall occasion as “hugely successful” that had “closed out on the highest of highs”.

With the conclusion of the competition, Georgia handed over the Host Country flag to Switzerland.

In the event, Bakuriani hosted about 700 athletes from 42 countries competing in 30 categories between February 19 and March 5, with the Championships broadcasted to more than 175 million people.
