Georgian national basketball team’s “historic chance” to qualify for FIBA World Cup

The Georgian national basketball team has a “historic chance” to qualify for the World Championship in a FIBA Basketball World Cup Qualifiers match against Iceland on February 26 at the Tbilisi Arena in the Georgian capital Tbilisi, the Georgian Basketball Federation said on Wednesday.

The Federation encouraged fans to arrive for the game an hour and a half before the match, which is set to start at 20:00.

Tickets for the match between Georgia and Iceland are available for sale on tkt.ge website.

Georgia’s national team defeated Iceland in the first match last year on November 11 in Reykjavik.
