The Georgian national basketball team will face Slovenia, Venezuela and Cape Verde in its first World Cup in Japan’s city of Okinawa, the Georgian Basketball Federation said on Saturday.

The Georgian team will play in Group F after earning a spot in the tournament in February despite losing to Iceland 77-80 in its final qualifying game.

The draw for the World Cup, which will start on August 25, was held in the Philippines capital Manila earlier today, after which 32 teams were divided into eight groups.
