Georgia’s Minister of Economy Levan Davitashvili met Peter Ryan and Michael Zdanowski, two international investment consultants and location managers who visited Georgia to introduce the country’s business environment to potential investors, the Ministry said on Tuesday.

Davitashvili said the initiative of hosting the two professionals was coming as part of his office’s work on extending the number of businesses operating in Georgia through the use of location managers in communication with ”leading companies in need of business process outsourcing and search[ing] for new locations”.

The Minister added Georgia was a “very interesting” destination for the purpose.

During their visit, Ryan and Zdanowski met Georgian-based consulting companies, business associations, international organisations and foreign companies operating in the country, with the aim of introducing themselves to the country’s business environment and investment potential.

Georgia's export promotion agency, Enterprise Georgia, on Monday said the consultants had looked into “various business investment opportunities” and would use the information to inform potential investors.

Ryan is recognised as one of the world’s leading experts in business process outsourcing, while Zdanowski is a government relations and communications consultant in the energy, industrial, and engineering sectors, as well as a business outsourcing consultant.

Their visit was the fourth such invitation of foreign professionals by Enterprise Georgia, which has also worked to support companies including Majorel and Concentrix in launching offices in Georgia.
