Mariam Kvrivishvili, the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, on Wednesday joined the opening of Holiday Inn Express Tbilisi Avlabari, a new hotel of the brand in capital Tbilisi, the Ministry of Economy said.
In comments for the event, Kvrivishvili welcomed the new facility, built in a $12.5 million Kazakh investment, from the “very famous” international brand.
She said the investment strengthened the “friendship and cooperation” between Georgia and Kazakhstan, and added she hoped the hotel would become a “motivating” factor for its investor to discuss similar opportunities in other “touristically active regions” of Georgia.
