Deputy Economy Minister opens $7.6 mln, 5-star hotel in Gori

Mariam Kvrivishvili, the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, on Monday joined the opening of Gori Inn, a five-star hotel in the central Georgian city of Gori, the Ministry of Economy said.

In comments for the event, Kvrivishvili said about ₾20 million ($7.6 mln) had been invested in the construction of the hotel, which is a part of a chain managed by Inn Group and designed to contribute to expansion of the city’s tourism industry and strengthening of the economy.

She said modern facilities like the newly unveiled hotel were an “additional opportunity” for both local and international visitors to travel and discover new sites.

Founded in 2015, Inn Group comprises 10 companies, including operators of hotels in Georgia’s winter resorts of Bakuriani and Gudauri, the western hub city of Kutaisi and capital Tbilisi.
