Mikheil Khidureli, the Director of Enterprise Georgia, the state agency promoting entrepreneurship, investment and exports, on Wednesday said Saudi Arabia was a “one of the priority and strategic destinations” for Georgia’s investment and trade opportunities.
Hosted as part of the World Tourism Day in Saudi Arabia’s capital of Riyadh on September 27-28, Khidureli had “high-level” meetings with Khalid A. Al-Falih, the Saudi Minister of Investment, other officials, Saudi companies and potential investors from the country to discuss investment opportunities in Georgia.
Khidureli said the agency was ready to be in “close communication” with the Saudi side in order to attract investments within the Enterprise Georgia programme, noting trade and economic cooperation between the two countries had “significantly increased” over the years and added there was “still a considerable potential” for attracting investments.
He said the meetings were organised by Zurab Pololikashvili, the Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organisation, which he said played an “important role” in promoting the investment and tourism potential of Georgia and other countries of the world.
