Georgia has “huge” potential for investments as “best place” worldwide - int’l investment consultants

A group of international investment consultants, on a working visit to Georgia on Wednesday as part of the USAID Economy Security Programme, have praised it as the “best country worldwide, with huge investment potential”.

The visiting professionals are hosted by Enterprise Georgia - a state initiative for promoting entrepreneurship - in a bid to establish the country’s investment potential. Loren Moss, one of the 13 consultants, described Georgia as an “ideal gateway between Central Europe and Asia”. 

I am in Georgia for the first time and the main purpose of my visit is to find out about the country's investment prospects. I want to tell you that I am surprised - this is the best place in the world, it is an ideal gateway between Central Europe and Asia”, Moss said.

Dubbing Georgia “a very interesting place for international investors”, fellow consultant Lynda Arsenault said the country “has a favourable business environment”. 

During the meetings here in Georgia, it became clear that Georgia has a favourable business environment, the right values ​​and is a very interesting place for international investors”, Arsenault said.

In further details, the head of Enterprise Georgia, Mikheil Khidureli, said the delegation included consultants from the United States, Europe and Asia for meetings with consulting companies, business associations, donors, international organisations and foreign companies operating in Georgia to discuss investment opportunities in the country. 

According to international practice, this is one of the most effective ways to attract more foreign investments to the country and bring specific companies. As a result of such fruitful cooperation with international consultants, Georgia appears more and more often on the map of leading companies and large investors”, Khidureli said.

He also noted the consultants involved in the familiarisation tour were global companies looking for investment locations and facilities over the world.

The consultants will visit Georgia’s eastern and western regions of Kakheti and Kutaisi, where they will meet representatives of various agencies and organisations, receive information and discuss investment opportunities in a number of industries.
