Georgian Deputy Economy Minister Romeo Mikautadze on Friday said the projects supported by Enterprise Georgia, the state agency promoting entrepreneurship, investment and exports, contributed to the creation of new jobs and the increase of the country’s export potential.
In his address at the opening of a renewed production space and a new showroom of the largest manufacturer of cable products in Georgia - Sakcable, Mikautadze noted the new modernised space, re-equipped with high-tech machinery, was created with the investment of Enterprise Georgia, the Economy Ministry said.
In the renovated production space, Sakcable launches new, energy-efficient products, which are in great demand both in Georgia and in other countries”, he added.
Sakcable started production of solar cables, which are in demand in the world market, and received the European certificate of quality, proving the products meet all appropriate standards. The company created 35 new jobs after renovation with the loan subsidy received from Enterprise Georgia.
