Enterprise Georgia, an export promotion agency of the country, on Thursday revealed 1,176 winners of its micro and small entrepreneurship grant programme.
The agency noted the winners featured more women entrepreneurs than men, with young entrepreneurs representing 26.45 percent of participants.
The upper limit of this year’s grants has been set at ₾30,000 ($11,517), with about 300 economic activities set to be financed.
Enterprise Georgia also said the winning projects would employ 3,000 people in total.
Since the launch of the programme in 2015, more than 8,000 projects have been financed, with the volume of investments exceeding ₾116 million ($44.53mln), and the number of the employed reaching 21,000.
