Georgian Economy Minister Levan Davitashvili said the selection of the winners had been completed "successfully under fair and competitive conditions".

Twenty winning startups will take the first steps on the way to international success. We certainly have other tools to help such companies succeed and establish themselves internationally. I think that the rapid development of the economy is directly related to innovations, and our ministry [...] plays a very important role in this direction", he said.

Davitashvili also noted state-financed startups had attracted more than ₾350 million ($129.88mln) foreign direct investments in the country.
