Georgian national rugby team defeats US in test match before World Cup

The Georgian national rugby team on Saturday defeated the United States by 22:7 in a test match of the preparation for the World Cup at Mikheil Meskhi Stadium in Georgia’s capital Tbilisi.

The Lelos, coached by Levan Maisashvili, claimed the victory with three tries by Akaki Tabutsadze, Shalva Mamukashvili and Davit Niniashvili. Luka Matkava also contributed with two conversions and one free kick.

The National team will face Scotland on August 26.
