The rugby team of the Georgian Defence Forces defeated Spain 87-0 at the World Military Championship in France, the Ministry of Defence of Georgia said on Monday.
Defence Lelos scored 14 tries against the rivals in the tournament that featured players from 12 countries and is running between August 16-September 10.
The Ministry said members of the squad had gone through “tactical and technical drills” throughout the year in preparation for the competition.
They will face the United Kingdom on Wednesday and Tonga on Sunday in their next Pool 2 fixtures.
