Cooperation between Georgia and Azerbaijan in various directions and at the parliamentary level was discussed on Monday in a meeting between the Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili and the Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov.
Hosted during Papuashvili's visit to Azerbaijan, the discussion reviewed ties in trade, energy and education, the Georgian Parliament press office said.

The officials also highlighted the “historical” friendship and “fruitful” strategic partnership of many years between the two countries.
The current situation in the South Caucasus and importance of further cooperation for regional peace was also emphasised.
