Professionals from Georgia’s Emergency Management Service and Patrol Police Department on Monday completed mountain rescue training in the winter resort town of Gudauri.
The Interior Ministry said the course had involved Austrian mountain police experts and trained 30 Georgian rescuers in scenarios of avalanche response.

They developed skills in first aid provision and rescue and transportation of injured individuals, the body added.

The week-long training was held within the cooperation between the Georgian and Austrian interior ministries.
