The Emergency Management Service of the Georgian Interior Ministry and employees of the Public Safety Command Centre completed a training on roles and functions in crisis situations with the support of the European Union, the Ministry’s International Relations Department said on Tuesday.
Hosted at the Public Safety Command Centre in Tbilisi, the training, led by the United Nations Office for Project Management, covered the critical role of emergency dispatch, information-gathering, call response procedures, natural disasters and stress management.

The project was financially supported by the EU as part of the project Support to Advancing Technical Capacities for Ensuring Human Security.
The project, which is a part of broader initiative EU4 Safety, Accountability, and Fight Against Crime in Georgia, has been implemented in cooperation with the Ministry’s Department since 2020.
The primary objective of the EU4 Safety project is to support the Georgian Government in achieving effectiveness and accountability of institutions in the security sector.
