The war in Ukraine is “categorically unacceptable” and we all pray that it will end as soon as possible, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili told Monday’s  Government meeting.

In his comments on Russia's ongoing invasion of Ukraine, the PM expressed hope the international community would take measures to put an end to the conflict.

People are dying and that is a very sad fact. Once again, we hope the entire international community will do its utmost to end this war as soon as possible," Garibashvili said.

Russia began its military assault on Ukraine on February 24, following President Putin’s announcement of the recognition of the independence of the Ukrainian regions of Donetsk and Luhansk on February 21.
