The Christmas village in Georgia’s capital Tbilisi opened on Friday at the recently renovated Orbeliani Square, including the recreational areas of Dedaena Garden, April 9 Garden and Dry Bridge, with a concert of various Georgian performers, the Tbilisi City Hall said.

The village features New Year holiday decorations and installations, Santa's house, concert stages, a Christmas market, food spaces, a photo booth and a children's area for “magic shows”, as well as entertainment performances, fairytale characters, sweets festival, and workshops.

Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze, the Deputy Mayor Giorgi Tkemaladze and representatives of the parliament attended the official opening of the village. “Let's make a significant wish, may the 2023 be more successful, full of life and love, and the most important, let’s wish for peace”, Kaladze noted, adding the village would host visitors to spend festive days together and wishing everyone “peace, prosperity and progress”.
The Tbilisi City hall said the village would host events every day until January 13, including concerts of Georgian performers on various stages.
