Georgian fencer Sandro bazadze claimed a silver medal at the Grand Prix Nuoma 2022 on Sunday, the Fencing Federation of Georgia said.
The 29-year-old lost the final to Hungary’s world and three-time Olympic champion Aron Szilagyi with a score of 10-15, after defeating Italy’s Luca Curatoli 15-6 in the semifinals.

The championship was hosted in France between December 8-10.

Bazadze is the 2022 European champion and two-time Olympic champion. Most recently he won the Fencing World Cup in Algeria last month.
