Air Moldova carries 140 passengers in its inaugural flight to Tbilisi

Air Moldova has made its inaugural flight to Georgia, carrying 140 passengers from Chișinău to Tbilisi, TAV Georgia, the operator of Tbilisi and Batumi international airports, said on Monday.
The airline will perform direct flights between the cities using Airbus A319 aircraft twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays.
During the winter navigation season starting in November, the company is going to increase the frequency of flights to four times a week.
Air Moldova airline is set to launch direct flights between Tbilisi and Chișinău next month, TAV Georgia, the company operating Tbilisi and Batumi airports in the country, said on Tuesday.
Georgia’s revenues from tourism reached $522,945,221 in August, a 26.7 percent increase from the same month of the pre-pandemic 2019 and a 163.1 percent increase over August 2021, the country’s tourism administration said on Friday.
Passenger flow at Tbilisi International Airport recovered by 92 percent compared to the pre-pandemic 2019 figure in August, TAV Georgia, the company operating two major airports in the country, said on Monday.
Georgia hosted 445,894 international travellers in June, posting a 51 percent recovery from the pre-pandemic 2019 figure and an increase of 185.5 percent year-on-year, the Georgian National Tourism Administration announced on Wednesday.
