Challenges facing Georgia and Moldova, the war in Ukraine and its impact on economic and social issues were discussed on Tuesday in a meeting between Georgian president Salome Zourabichvili and Moldovan prime minister Natalia Gavrilița.
The officials stressed the “most important thing” in the current time was to show support for and solidarity with Ukraine, the presidential administration said.
Georgia stands with Ukraine and its people. At such a time the help of European partners and the implementation of joint projects, which were on the agenda, are very important today”, Zourabichvili said.
Gavrilița informed Zourabichvili about the economic situation in her country, while the Georgian president invited the PM to next year’s International Women's Conference, set to be hosted in Tbilisi.
Zourabichvili on Monday met president Maia Sandu as part of her working visit to Moldova.
