Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili on Friday told the United States-based National Public Radio it was “important” the US offer “outspoken” support to Georgia and Moldova while offering help to Ukraine in its defence against the ongoing Russian invasion.

Zourabichvili said Georgia wanted “maximum support” of the US for Ukraine in the conflict, while adding mentions of other states not protected by NATO security clauses or “direct” European Union help.

[W]hile helping Ukraine to win, it's important not to forget the two other countries [Moldova and Georgia], and that those two countries are [...] not protected by either the NATO Article 5 or by the European Union direct solidarity, at least as yet. It's very important that the support of the United States is outspoken to both our countries,” the Georgian President said.

Zourabichvili also stressed both Georgian authorities and ordinary citizens were in “full solidarity” with Ukraine.

We're offering them everything, from hosting them [in Georgia by offering accommodation] to schooling of their children [at Georgian schools] to medical facilities. And on top of that, they are very well received [in the country] because we have these long cultural ties. So they are, I think, feeling as much as home as possible, and we want to make them feel as much as home as possible,” she told NPR.
