Georgian president Salome Zourabichvili on Thursday hailed the United Nations resolution condemning Russia’s annexation of Ukrainian regions by saying Georgia was “part of the solidarity” towards the country defending itself from the ongoing invasion.
In her remarks over the resolution, which was supported by countries including Georgia, Zourabichvili stressed her country stood with Ukraine.
“That’s what global solidarity looks like. Georgia is part of that solidarity. We stand with Ukraine”, Zourabichvili tweeted.

The general assembly on Wednesday voted overwhelmingly to condemn Russia's attempts to annex four regions of Ukraine, with Georgia among 143 countries supporting the related resolution.
The resolution calls on the international community not to recognise Russia's annexation claims of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia and demands the "immediate reversal" of the annexation attempts.
