Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili on Monday started her working visit to Poland, with the Presidential Administration announcing she would meet her Polish counterpart Andrzej Duda as part of the agenda for the official trip.

Zurab Beridze, Georgia’s Ambassador to Poland, said development of bilateral relations between the two countries would be discussed at the meeting.

Poland, as our partner country, has traditionally and historically supported Georgia in the process of European and Euro-Atlantic integration, which is very relevant for us today. I hope this will be confirmed once again at this meeting”, Beridze noted.

In the symbolic part of her visit, Zourabichvili will lay a wreath on the grave of Poland’s former President Lech Kaczyński and his wife in Krakow.
