Current relations between Georgia and Kazakhstan and the prospects of future cooperation were discussed on Wednesday in a meeting between the Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and his Kazakh counterpart Alikhan Smailov.
In his remarks Garibashvili noted that Kazakhstan and Georgia were connected by “friendly” relations of many years, the Government Administration said.
“[I] would like to confirm our readiness for further development of [our] partnership and cooperation, which has been very successful in recent years. Historically, we enjoy very strong relations and friendship”, the head of the Government said.

In his turn, Smailov stressed that Kazakhstan was “ready” to strengthen the existing cooperation between the countries.
Our relations are based on the principles of cooperation and fruitful partnership. Our government is ready to strengthen the existing cooperation between our countries and I would like to wish this partnership to continue successfully”, Smailov said.
