Topical issues of the bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Georgia and Kazakhstan were discussed on Tuesday in a meeting between the Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili and his Kazakh counterpart Mukhtar Tleuberdi.
The meeting focused on friendly relations between the two countries and the “positive” dynamics of cooperation, which includes active cooperation in the fields of trade and economy, transport, tourism and culture, the Georgian foreign office said.
The officials reviewed the issues of increasing the efficiency and permeability of the Trans-Caspian Corridor.
The top Georgian diplomat extended his gratitude to the Government of Kazakhstan for its “firm” support of Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili arrived in Kazakhstan on Tuesday to hold high-level meetings with the country’s top officials in a bid to further intensify bilateral ties.
