The Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on Thursday congratulated the Georgian people on Independence Day of their country.
In a letter sent to the Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili, Elizabeth II took note of the “special anniversary” of 30 years of bilateral relations between the UK and Georgia.
On the important occasion of your National Day and as we mark the special anniversary of 30 years of our bilateral relations, I would like to congratulate Your Excellency, and send my good wishes to the people of Georgia. As we overcome global challenges together, may we look to better times in the future,” the formal letter said.
