Georgian para-athletes earned five medals over two days at the Wheelchair Fencing World Cup and European Taekwondo Championship, with the haul including two gold medals.

On Friday, fencer Nina Tibilashvili claimed the gold in women’s sabre at the World Cup event hosted in Thailand, defeating Kinga Drozdz of Poland in the final.

Her teammate Irma Khetsuriani followed the result up with a silver after conceding her final to local favourite Saysunee Jana.

The other three medals came at the European Taekwondo Championship in Manchester, where Giorgi Khizanishvili earned a gold, and Giorgi Nikoladze and Ana Japaridze secured two bronze medals.
