Georgian wheelchair fencer Nina Tibilashvili wins gold medal at World Cup

Georgian wheelchair fencer Nino Tibilashvili has won a gold medal on Friday at the IWAS Wheelchair Fencing World Cup hosted in Hungary.

At the tournament, Tibilashvili claimed the first gold for the Georgian team after winning the final against Ukrainian rival Evgenia Breus with a score of 15-14. The Georgian fencer also defeated Hungarian Éva Hajmás in the semi-finals.

Members of the Georgian women’s wheelchair fencing team, Olympic athletes Irma Khetsuriani and Gvantsa Zadishvili are set to compete on Sunday.
