Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili is taking part in the Ministerial Meeting of the Global Coalition against ISIS, hosted in Morocco between Tuesday and Thursday, the Georgian foreign office said.
The top Georgian diplomat participates in the ministerial at the invitation of the United States Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
During the event, Darchiashvili will address participants and also hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts.
The Ministerial is seen as an event involving international commitment and coordination in the fight against the terrorist organisaation.
Georgia's part in the international effort against terrorism were in the focus of an address by Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili to the Ministerial Meeting of the Global Coalition against ISIS, hosted on Wednesday in Morocco.
Ilia Darchiashvili, the Georgian Foreign Minister and Peter Siarto, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary gave “high evaluation” to the completion of Georgia's European Union membership questionnaire, handed over by the country ahead of schedule this week.
